AC 400 FUNDAMENTALS OF MERIDIAN THEORY (3units/
30 hours)
A survey of the theory and practice of traditional oriental Meridian
theory, channels, branches. Prerequisite: None
AC 402 MERIDIAN THEORY I (3units/ 30 hours)
Students will learn how to describe and locate each of the points
along the Lung, Large Intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Heart, Small
Intestine and Conception channels, their branches, and collaterals
in the human body. The class will also discuss channel theory
including information on the pathways, collaterals, divergents,
and luo-connections.
Prerequisite: None
AC 404 MERIDIAN THEORY II (3units/ 30 hours)
Students will learn how to describe and locate each of the points
along the Urinary Bladder, Kidney Pericardium, Triple Burner,
Gallbladder and Liver and Governing channels. The class will also
discuss channel theory including information on the pathways,
collaterals, divergents, and luo-connections.

AC 406 MERIDIAN THEORY III (3units/ 30 hours)
A study of the location and anatomical structures at each of the
points along the Lung, Large Intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Heart,
Small Intestine and Conception channels, their branches, and collaterals
in the human body.
Prerequisite: None
AC 408 MERIDIAN THEORY IV (3units/ 30 hours)
A study of the location and anatomical structures at each of the
points along the Urinary Bladder, Kidney Pericardium, Triple Burner,
Gallbladder and Liver and Governing channels.
Prerequisite: None
AC 410 SURVEY OF MERIDIAN THEORY (3units/ 30
hours)
In depth study of Meridian theory: the distribution of channels,
branches, and collaterals in the human body, including their physiological
function, pathological changes and interrelationships with all
internal organs.
Prerequisite: AC 402, AC 404, AC 406, AC 408
AC 412 ACUPUNCTURE I (3units/ 30 hours)
Students will analyze the physiological function, pathological
changes and interrelationships of each acupuncture point along
the Lung, Large Intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Heart, Small Intestine
and conception channels.
Prerequisite: AC 406, AC 408
AC 414 ACUPUNCTURE II (3units/ 30 hours)
Students will analyze the physiological function, pathological
changes and interrelationships of each acupuncture point along
the Urinary Bladder, Kidney Pericardium, Triple Burner, Gallbladder
and Liver and Governing channels.
Prerequisite: AC 406, AC 408
AC 416 ACUPUNCTURE III (3units/ 30 hours)
Students will practice acupuncture needle insertion on points
along the Lung, Large Intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Heart, Small
Intestine and Conception channels.
Students will also have practice with different types of needles
and their care, sterile technique and related modalities such
as cupping, moxa, gua sha, and cutaneous needles. Students will
also learn basic state laws regarding acupuncture practice.
Prerequisite: AC 406, AC 408
AC 418 ACUPUNCTURE IV (3units/ 30 hours)
Students will practice acupuncture needle insertion on points
along the Urinary Bladder, Kidney Pericardium, Triple Burner,
Gallbladder and Liver and Governing channels.
Students will also have practice with different types of needles
and their care, sterile technique and related modalities such
as cupping, moxa, gua sha, and cutaneous needles. Students will
also learn basic state laws regarding acupuncture practice.

AC 420 CLINICAL POINT SELECTION (3 units/30
hours)
Through the use of case studies, students will learn how to create
an acupuncture treatment plan and the selection of appropriate
acupuncture points to treat many common diseases.
Prerequisite: AC 410, AC 412, AC 414
AC 422 CLINICAL ACUPUNCTURE I (3 units/30 hours)
In depth study of Korean and Chinese Traditional Acupuncture Theory
and Practice. Includes the study of scalp and auricular acupuncture
theory and application.
Prerequisite: AC 412, AC 414, AC 416, AC 418,
AC 424 CLINICAL ACUPUNCTURE II (3 units/30 hours)
In depth study of Korean and Chinese Traditional Acupuncture Theory
and Practice. Includes the study of scalp and auricular acupuncture
theory and application.
Prerequisite: AC 412, AC 414, AC 416, AC 418,
AC 426 TUINA I (3 units/ 30 hours)
Tuina is a massotherapy to treat diseases and traumatic injuries.
The course will cover theoretical foundation for Tuina, basic
principles based on Yin, Yang, Qi, Blood and Internal Organs.
The course will also teach students how to apply different types
of treatment to different symptoms.
Prerequisite: AC 410, AC 412, AC 414, AC 416, AC 418,
AC 428 TUINA II (3 units/ 30 hours)
Continuation of AC 426. The course will expand on the foundations
in Tuina I to apply a larger variety of treatments to address
different conditions.
Prerequisite: AC 410, AC 412, AC 414, AC 416, AC 418,
AC 430 REFLEXOLOGY (3 units/30 hours)
Basic principles and techniques of hand and foot reflex bodywork.
Prerequisites: None
AC 432 QI GONG (3 units/ 30 hours)
The course will cover the basic principles of qi gong, the concept
of Nei Gong and the eight movements of “Fung Hung Gong”,
a set of exercises combining movement, meditation and breath to
direct and strengthen qi.
Prerequisite: None
AC 434 TAI JI QUAN (3 units/ 30hours)
The course covers Chinese system of movement and meditation of
Tai Ji Quan, which was designed to maintain good health and longevity
by promoting free flow of Qi.
Prerequisite: None
AC 436 ADVANCED ACUPUNCTURE ANATOMY (3 units/
30hours)
Lectures and demonstrations, with practice sessions, of the techniques
of acupuncture, including Clean Needle Technique, sterile technique,
use of disposable needles, insertion, sedation, tonification,
and removal of needles, etc. The course also covers emergencies,
moxibustion, cupping, electro acupuncture, scalp and auricular
techniques and self-needling.

AC 438 MODERN ACUPUNCTURE (3 units/ 30hours)
In depth study of modern Korean and Chinese acupuncture theory
and practice.
Prerequisite: AC 410, AC 412, AC 414
